Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica is probably one of the most tropical places
that you are likely to ever see.
It comes quite close to the palm-lined beaches of the South Pacific.
In Manuel Antonio you can play in the surf, lay on the beach, explore the
jungle, observe the nature and if so inclined, party until dawn.
It is the most popular national park in Costs Rica and for a very good reason.
It is beautiful!
Below is the view from the deck of the beach house
at Manuel Antonio. Because
a stream ran out from the jungle to the ocean right where we were, the view
changed quite a bit from day to day, depending on the tides and how much water
was coming down the stream. Manuel Antonio NP was just about 1/2 mile walk
along the beach from here.

Here is a picture of Manuel Antonio beach from the deck at night.

I had to turn the car around on the beach in front of our house to go back up
the dirt road to leave Manuel Antonio.
I just couldn't resist the 'car commercial' shot.
