A business trip to Santa Monica brought me back to where I
lived from 1963 to 1975.
This is the clock tower on 3rd Street with the Santa Monica Mountains in the
background.
Hotel California - One of the hotels made famous by the Eagles.
You can check out, but you can never leave.
The building on the album cover is the
Beverly Hills Hotel.
The "Hotel California" is really about the culture of the USA, not about a real
hotel.
(notice the Segway store next door, "You can stop, but you can
never get off?".
Is anyone actually using one of those on a regular basis? Love to hear from you
if you are.)

Pretty much the first indelible impression most people get of Santa Monica.
And of course, sunset on the beach near Santa Monica Pier.
