Diving in Roatan , Honduras
While in Roatan, we decided to learn how to scuba dive and we
ended up getting open water certified.
I had purchased a waterproof bag to put
my digital camera in. It was not the ideal underwater photo equipment,
but it
sort of worked, most of the time. Below are a few pictures taken around the
reefs on the north side of Roatan

Brain coral

I think these are different versions of the same fish (Blue Tang - a
surgeonfish)

A school of yellowish fish, probably French Grunts. Individuals of this species would sometimes follow
us around

French Grunts

Stoplight Parrotfish

This cute guy (Damselfish) was guarding his conch shell.
This guarding behavior I would learn is a characteristic of damselfish across
the globe.

A wonderful Peacock flounder

Schools of these small fish were near the piers
Jessica and I at about 60 feet.
The waterproof bag was getting squashed so much from the pressure that it
distorted the pictures.
