Moose and
other animals near Moosehead Lake in Maine

This moose was drinking from
a puddle about
10 feet from the car. |
This moose posed for us
in the lupines which
lined some of the roads.

This moose was feeding from the bottom of the pond. It would immerse its head
completely.

There were 4 moose in this area where the road crew stored their salt
during winter.
The one kneeling was very young. The others were watching over it.

I saw this deer swimming across the river.
We stopped and were able to get a few pictures before it made it into the woods.

This Red-breasted Merganser had 16
